Introducing Artificial Intelligence to Vocational Schools in Europe

he technological industry owes its success not only to ingenious engineers, but also to highly skilled technical experts who are trained in vocational schools. The European way to Industry 4.0 should replicate the success stories of, for instance, European car industry, by training non-academic specialists at vocational schools.

Partners of this project developed an innovative study unit Introduction to Artificial Intelligence for ICT-related vocational programmmes’ students who already have basic programming skills.  A formally acknowledged study unit comprises comprehensive lesson materials for 60 contact (classroom) hours.  Students are this way getting prepared for Industry 4.0 and being involved in more automated processes at the place of work.
